NIGHT AND DAY, PART 1: Last night and today are just the third time this season that the Cubs have played games on Thursday night, then on Friday afternoon. They had lost all four games the previous times, both at home vs. the Pirates on May 16-17, then at Tampa and at home vs. the Cardinals on June 13-14.
