NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) – Tennessee Titans cornerback Chidobe Awuzie will miss a couple of weeks of training camp with a calf injury, coach Brian Callahan announced Thursday.
The Titans also made a couple of roster moves. They added outside linebacker Shane Ray, a 2015 first-round pick of the Denver Broncos who took part in Tennessee’s rookie minicamp on a tryout basis. The Titans brought back center Corey Levin, a 2017 draft pick who played the past three seasons with them.
They cleared room by waiving undrafted rookie running back Dillon Johnson on Thursday.
Outside linebacker Harold Landry has missed the first two days with an illness. Callahan said Landry will be worked back onto the field slowly once he returns.
Awuzie was one of the Titans’ big free agent signees this offseason. Tennessee signed the cornerback away from the Cincinnati Bengals in the offseason only to see him leave Wednesday´s opening day of training camp before the end of the final period.
“Chido is going to miss some time with a calf injury. It´ll be a couple of weeks, probably. He´s out here, but he´s not practicing,” Callahan said.
