Forever in our hearts: The legend Denver Broncos QB Jarrett Stidham died in a car accident a minute ago!

The Denver Broncos have made bolstering their offensive line a major priority the past few years. They recently extended offensive guard Quinn Meinerz and inked Ben Powers and Mike McGlinchey to large contracts during the 2023 free agency period. Garett Bolles remains the team’s left tackle and longest tenured lineman, whilst a handful of players will be battling it out at center to replace Lloyd Cushenberry III.

Denver Broncos: 5 things to know about QB Jarrett Stidham

Last year, the unit was Top 10 in the league relative to pass block and run block win rate. Unfortunately, Russell Wilson had a penchant for taking bad sacks and the running game was mediocre at best for most of the season. All and all, their overall body of work and high rankings don’t match up with Denver’s woeful offensive output last season—so I’m hoping the group can really kick it up a notch in 2024 and help turn things around on that side of the ball.

While their starting lineup is certain outside of four players, they have a lot of competition for their backup positions. Earlier in the offseason, they signed former New York Giants offensive tackle Matt Peart to a one-year deal—one that had me quite intrigued. Peart was a third-round pick of theirs in 2020. Many scouts thought he offered high upside and starting potential, but he struggled to earn a full-time spot during his four years there.

This season he will be competing for a swing tackle spot on the Broncos. He has experience over the other young developmental players trying to carve a role on the squad, but will that be enough to make the final 53-man roster? Let’s take a look.
