At Citizens Bank Park on Thursday, the Philadelphia Phillies (60-32) and Los Angeles Dodgers (55-38) conclude their series. The Phillies have won the first two games and aim to complete the sweep tonight.

The bats couldn’t muster as much on Wednesday after scoring ten runs in the first game of the series on Tuesday, but they still managed to win 4-3. Starting pitcher for the Phillies, Cristopher Sánchez, had a strong outing as he held the Dodgers to two runs on five hits and five strikeouts in six innings.

Maybe the best moment of the evening was when All-Star Matt Strahm struck out Shohei Ohtani in the seventh inning. The lefty entered and got the outstanding DH with runners on the corners and one out.

The Phillies’ Aaron Nola (10-4) will end the series. With 18 starts under his belt, the right-hander has a 3.48 ERA and a 1.03 WHIP. After securing the victory over the Braves on Friday, he will aim to cap off the first half with a few victories. In six strong innings, he struck out eight batters while giving up three runs on five hits during the Phillies’ lone victory in Atlanta last weekend.
Today, Anthony Banda (1-1) will start for the Dodgers. With 20 outings this season, the 30-year-old left-hander has a 2.05 ERA and 1.32 WHIP. In his debut season in Los Angeles, he registered an 8.18 K/9 but a 4.91 BB/9.
