Aston Villa star Emi Buendia has made a post on social media that will excite supporters.

A video captioned with ‘Más cerca. Seguimos’ which translates to Closer. We continue’ was posted on his Instagram story on Monday.

In the thirty second video shared on Twitter, Buendia can be seen doing some ball work whilst he trains at Bodymoor Heath. He works without the ball and then receives a ball from a coach before scoring each time in to a small goal. The coach can be heard giving him encouragement as Buendia continues to prepare for his comeback.

The 27-year-old hasn’t played a single minute of competitive football this season after suffering knee ligament damage before the Premier League campaign was about to begin.

He had conducted himself well in pre-season and featured heavily for the Villains last term but is likely to miss the whole of the 2023/24 season.
