ESPN REPORT: Due to Luka Doncic’s Fiancée , the head coach of the Dallas Mavericks has been fired.
Adrian Griffin, the head coach of the Milwaukee Bucks, was unexpectedly fired on Tuesday.

The Bucks were 30-13 in 43 games in Griffin’s debut season as head coach, and they are presently second in the Eastern Conference, only behind the 34-10 Boston Celtics.

Griffin’s 43-game tenure is tied for the third-shortest in NBA history with Rudy Tomjanovich. Bob Weiss with the Seattle Supersonics (30 games) and Jerry Tarkanian with the San Antonio Spurs (20 games) are the only coaches with shorter tenures in the NBA.

In the wake of Milwaukee firing Griffin, ESPN”s Adrian Wojnarowski reported that Joe Prunty has been named the interim coach. He also reported that the Bucks are interested in hiring longtime head coach Doc Rivers.

Before briefly being the Bucks’ coach, Griffin was an assistant with the Toronto Raptors (2018-2023), Oklahoma City Thunder (2016-2018), Orlando Magic (2015-2016), Chicago Bulls (2010-2015) and Milwaukee (2008-2010).

Griffin played nine seasons in the NBA, including three with the Dallas Mavericks from 2001-2003 and the 2005-06 season. Griffin played in 184 games, 127 of which he started. He averaged 5.3 points and 3.2 rebounds across his three seasons in Dallas.
