ESPN REPORT: Due to Dak Prescott’s wife, the head coach of the Dallas Cowboys has been fired.
After the Cowboys and Mike McCarthy lost to the San Francisco 49ers in the Divisional Round, they made the decision to fire offensive coordinator Kellen Moore. However, it appears like McCarthy has taken over as play-caller, thus Moore’s exit isn’t the last coaching shift.
CowboysSI.com has learned from a source that Doug Nussmeier, the quarterbacks coach, will not be returning to The Star.
The 52-year-old has been in Dallas since 2018, when ex-coach Jason Garrett hired him to be the tight ends coach. Nussmeier is one of numerous coaches whose contracts expired this offseason, having served as the quarterbacks coach for the previous three seasons.
