SAD DEPARTURE: “I’AM LEAVING” NFL Quarterback Justin Fields has announced that he is leaving the  Chicago Bears Today due to…..

The Chicago Bears traded quarterback Justin Fields to the Pittsburgh Steelers in exchange for a conditional sixth-round draft pick that could turn into a fourth rounder depending on playing time.

For Bears fans, it’s the end of what was supposed to be a magical era. Fields, who was drafted with the 11th overall pick in 2021, was supposed to snap the quarterback curse. Instead, he lasted just three years in Chicago. To be fair, he wasn’t dealt a good hand at the start as a rookie. And while he ultimately had his best season in Year 3 — when he needed to show substantial progress — it doesn’t change the fact that the Bears are sitting with the first overall pick and USC star Caleb Williams within reach.

In three seasons with Chicago, Fields completed 60.3 percent of his passes for 6,674 yards with 40 touchdowns and 30 interceptions. He rushed for 2,220 yards — including 1,143 in 2022 — and 14 touchdowns. Fields had a 10-28 record as a starter.
