SAD DEPARTURE: Georgia bulldogs agree to deal with OFFENSIVE TACKLE, potentially bringing an end to the Amarius Mims era.
Athens — Georgia football has the top-ranked signing class going into the 2024 recruiting cycle going into National Signing Day.
Georgia isn’t anticipated to add any players on Wednesday, but the Bulldogs are still favored to end the cycle with the best recruiting class.
In the cycle, 28 players committed to Georgia, and all 28 signed back during the 2024 recruiting campaign. Twenty-two of the 28 signees have already registered at Georgia and will participate in spring practice.
Georgia still has one major target remaining; on Wednesday, five-star athlete Terry Bussey will make his announcement. He plans to commit at 10 a.m. ET to Georgia, Texas A&M, and LSU.
Just five of the top 100 prospects overall in the On3 Industry Rankings are unsigned, meaning that the majority of the top prospects in the 2024 recruiting cycle have already signed. All five of them have already made commitments to schools.
Early enrollment is now significantly more crucial for Georgia football than it was on National Signing Day.
Under Kirby Smart, Georgia signed the top-ranked recruiting class for the third time. The Bulldogs are led by their top-ranked cornerback, inside linebacker, and safety, and they have nine players in the top 100. Five of the 28 new recruits are considered 5-star prospects.
Six athletes were acquired by the Bulldogs through the transfer site; all six are currently enrolled in school.
Georgia football is seeking early entrants for 2024.
