The New York Jets may be in position to secure the services of the nation’s top offensive lineman in the upcoming NFL Draft, after all. With the Tennessee Titans (slated to pick at No. 7 overall) rumored to be experiencing a shift in draft philosophy, the Jets path to selecting Notre Dame left tackle Joe Alt with their No. 10 pick might be clearer than originally

After all, the New York Jets might be able to select the best offensive lineman in the country in the next NFL Draft. The route for the Jets to select Notre Dame left lineman Joe Alt with their No. 10 choice may be clearer than initially

The Titans, who also have a clear need at the position, were expected to be keen to add Alt as a cornerstone to their rebuilt offensive line, even if the Jets have made no secret of their intention to upgrade their line through the draft. Recent remarks from Tennessee’s general manager Ran Carthon and head coach Brian Callahan, however, suggest that the team may be focusing on improving their offensive skill positions.

AtoZSports stated, “Both Ran Carthon and Brian Callahan placed a great focus on acquiring playmakers and ‘guys that score touchdowns.'” Also mentioned were Bill Callahan’s player development skills and a deep selection class at offensive line. I have the impression that the Titans will likely use WR at 7.
