There are now ten persons charged in relation to the January crash that claimed the life of a UNC student, including seven additional persons.

10 people, including 3 football players, face charges for Chapel Hill crash that killed UNC student

Agents of North Carolina Alcohol Law Enforcement (ALE) suspect that alcohol had a role in the single-car collision that occurred on January 21 at the intersection of Raleigh Road and West Barbee Chapel Road. Molly Elizabeth Rotunda, 20, of Greensboro, a student at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, was a passenger in the vehicle when it crashe.

The driver of the vehicle, Flemeeja Brewer, had a brief court appearance on Monday to hear her accusations. Zachary O’Brien Rice’s court date is set on March 7. The court summons for the remaining accused parties have not yet been delivered.

According to ALE agents, two establishments on Franklin Street offered alcohol to Rotunda and other people under the age of 21:
