Following an investigation by the F1 team’s Austrian parent company, allegations of inappropriate behavior made against Red Bull CEO Christian Horner were dropped; on Thursday, material allegedly representing the investigation’s supposed evidence was leaked by an unidentified source.

Following the leak of information supposedly representing the evidence in the investigation against his behavior, Christian Horner, the principal of the Red Bull team, has restated his denial of any inappropriate behavior charges.

The parent company of the current Formula 1 constructors’ champions, Red Bull GmbH, declared on Wednesday that Horner had been cleared following accusations made against him by a female colleague. Horner is still able to file an appeal.

Throughout the process, Horner maintained his positions as team principle and chief executive while an expert barrister conducted an external investigation. Horner always disputed the claims.

Although Horner was present at the second practice session of the season-opening Bahrain Grand Prix on Thursday, an unidentified email account leaked material to multiple media outlets and F1 team executives that purported to be the investigation’s supposed proof

A team representative later on Thursday night at the Bahrain International Circuit issued a statement from Horner to the assembled journalists. The statement was described as “not representative of Red Bull Racing” by the spokeswoman.
