How long is Anthony Richardson out? Injury timeline, return date, latest updates for Colts QB | Sporting News

It would be exciting to see how Colts head coach Shane Steichen could use Anthony Richardson’s dynamic receiving ability within his offense across the middle of the field and deep—perhaps even introducing some intriguing wrinkles down the road. Not only would he give the second-year quarterback another excellent and explosive weapon, but it would also be fun to watch.

Furthermore, it’s highly commendable to be compared to former Pro Bowl tight end Dallas Clark, who is the only tight end in Colts franchise history to trail only John Mackey in receiving yards and touchdown receptions. The finest tight end in Indianapolis team history, Clark was a former first-round choice out of Iowa and the Colts’ iconic quarterback Peyton Manning’s sure-handed security blanket. He even accomplished it entirely gloveless.

As a big-bodied slot target who is more of a receiver than a blocker, Clark was one of the first modern-day prototypes of the tight end position. He was also an excellent athlete and one of Manning’s top receiving targets with the Indianapolis Colts.
