Daniel Jeremiah of NFL Network reports that the Indianapolis Colts are rumored to be interested in highly-regarded Georgia tight end Brock Bowers early in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft. They even likened the star player to legendary Horseshoe player Dallas Clark:

Although he is ranked among the top ten players in this draft, I would not rule out Brock Bowers making it there after discussing positional considerations, finances, history, and draft history. That would be ironic because, despite my comparison to Kittle, he somewhat resembles Kittle in a Dallas Clark body. Comparable to how you would maneuver and use Dallas Clark for all those various tasks. Similar to what would happen if Kittle and Dallas Clark had a child named Brock Bowers. Having the Colts there would be enjoyable.
Jeremiah actually projected Bowers to the Colts in his first mock draft.
Even though Jelani Woods (assuming he recovers fully from his hamstring injuries) and second-year pro Will Mallory are both capable receivers at the tight end position, the Colts could stand to gain an elite playmaker at the position—and really, on the offensive side of the football as a whole.
Bowers is considered by many to be the best tight end prospect in recent memory and the best prospect at the position this year.
nference call that “there’s only one tight end that fits that bill, and that’s somehow if Brock Bowers gets there.”
