Following their second defeat in three games following the NBA All-Star break, Lakers coach Darvin Ham bemoaned to reporters, “I just think you know it seems like the whistle for us is quick.”

The Suns, on the other hand, had 11 more chances to get to the line and made 18 of 19.

Ham went on, “I’m not one to use referees as an excuse.” But because of the inconsistent, it’s getting harder and harder. Our personnel seem to be making the same contact with them as we are ostensibly committing to them. Furthermore, no whistle is being sounded.
