As of this now, only one Georgia player—star quarterback Carson Beck—has an official name in the game.
Beck used Instagram to personally make the announcement.
“I’m in the game,” he said as the description for a cover graphic he shared on social media that included his name in bold letters.
Beck’s statement was a part of an EA Sports marketing push for their NIL opt-in service, which went live on Thursday, according to ESPN’s Michael Rothstein.
Athletes that choose to participate in the initiative and provide EA Sports permission to use their name, image, and likeness will be chosen by the gaming business and will receive a copy of the game along with $600.
ESPN reports that the rosters for the game will include 85 players from each school. The game talents of these generic players will be determined by looking at a position’s general strength and weakness over the last ten years at their institution.
Only 25 college football players are featured in EA Sports’ initial marketing, including Beck.
On3 has locked in Beck at an unofficial overall rating of 96, projecting him as the greatest quarterback in the game.
