The Bulldogs of Georgia have rehired James Coley. Coley is going to be the wide receivers coach for the Bulldogs at Georgia.

Before moving to Texas A&M, Coley worked under Kirby Smart as a member of the Georgia coaching staff from 2016 to 2019. Coley held the positions of wide receivers coach at Georgia from 2016 to 2017, co-offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach in 2018, and offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach in 2019.

Coley most recently accepted a position as South Carolina’s wide receivers coach, but he has chosen to go back to Athens, Georgia.

Coley is being hired by Kirby Smart to take over for Bryan McClendon, the former wide receiver coach of the Dawgs who accepted a similar role with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Coley is an effective recruiter in South Florida and is aware of what Smart anticipates.

What was the response on Georgia football’s social media following the Bulldogs’ second hiring of James Coley?
