NBA coach Doc Rivers told reporter Rachel Nichols that two other clubs had expressed interest in him before he signed with the Milwaukee Bucks, but he chose not to reveal who they were.

Milwaukee Bucks’ Doc Rivers Makes Shocking Revelation

Rivers voiced his perplexity with the decision to fire Adrian Griffin as the Bucks’ head coach in an interview on SiriusXM NBA Radio. Before Griffin’s sudden firing on January 23, Milwaukee had a respectable record of 30-13 under his direction.

Following his appointment as Griffin’s advisor, Rivers became the Bucks’ head coach on January 27.

Even with Rivers’ arrival, the Bucks have had numerous difficulties, and under his leadership, they have only managed a 3–7 record. With a 35-21 overall record, they currently hold third place in the Eastern Conference rankings.

NBA insiders Shams Charania, Sam Amick, and Eric Nehm of The Athletic provided details, and it was discovered that top player Damian Lillard disapproved of Griffin’s offensive approaches. Furthermore, it was reported by Sports Illustrated’s Chris Mannix, an NBA reporter, that Giannis Antetokounmpo no longer had faith in Griffin.

Among his many accomplishments as a coach, Rivers led the Boston Celtics to victory against the Los Angeles Lakers in the 2008 NBA Finals. Since 2012, though, his postseason success has been restricted as he has not advanced past the second round.
