ATHENS, Georgia – Georgia Bulldogs fans are still in shock at the deaths of a staff member and a football player. Just one day after Georgia celebrated winning the national championship again, the two perished in an early-morning crash on Sunday.
Since word got out, the temporary memorial outside Sanford Stadium has expanded. The Dawgs’ victory in that national championship one week ago is an unfathomable contrast to this.
The 20-year-old offensive lineman Devin Willock and the 24-year-old recruiting staffer Chandler LeCroy left a huge void in the hearts of Dawgs supporters and their loved ones.

Early on Sunday morning, the SUV they were riding in lost control and collided with two utility poles on Barnett Shoals Road, resulting in their deaths.
Willock’s roommate, offensive lineman Warren McClendon, was one of the two injured individuals. Tory Bowles, who is 26 years old, was also hurt.
