It is perplexing that the Baltimore Ravens did not win the Super Bowl, given how their coaching staff has been plucked since the conclusion of their 2023 campaign.

NFL: SEP 25 Ravens at PatriotsIn light of Keith Williams’ upcoming appointment as the New Orleans Saints’ new wide receivers coach following his interview last week, the list of departures is expected to now include Williams, the assistant wide receivers coach. This information was reported by Nick Underhill of New Orleans Football on Monday night.

Williams joined Ravens head coach John Harbaugh’s staff in 2021, initially working as a pass game specialist before earning the position of assistant receivers coach the previous season. He worked with and developed some of the top wideouts in the game, including multiple All-Pros Tyreek Hill and Davante Adams, to establish his reputation as one of the best individual position coaches before moving to Baltimore.

Williams helped former first-round pick Marquise “Hollywood” Brown become the team’s first receiver to record 1,000 or more yards in his rookie season with the Ravens in 2016. He assisted 2023 first-round pick Zay Flowers of the Ravens, who coach Greg Lewis of the wide receivers, in leading him to an exceptional rookie campaign this past season. Flowers broke numerous franchise records for first-year pass catchers and finished with 86 receptions on 121 targets for 1,014 receiving yards and six touchdowns in 18 games, including playoff games.

Williams, who worked as a wide receivers coach at Tulane University from 2012 to 2014, is returning to his native New Orleans. He will succeed 12-year coaching veteran Kodi Burns, who has served in that capacity for the last two seasons with the Saints. With more over 1,000 receiving yards in each of his first two seasons, young rising star Chris Olave leads a superb group of receivers that he will be leading. Pro Bowl players Michael Thomas and Rashid Shaheed are also featured.
