With all of the bonuses included, Jordan Love made almost $15 million in 2024 following an outstanding rookie campaign as the starting quarterback for the Green Bay Packers.
Although some people might have objected to the amount of money the Packers were prepared to spend on an inexperienced quarterback right away following the Aaron Rodgers era in Green Bay, Love swiftly silenced his doubters with a stellar performance.
The financial drawback of all this, though, is that the Packers will now have to pay a lot more to keep the 25-year-old on staff.
Jordan Love Will Need to Pay the Big Bucks to the Green Bay Packers
Joel Corry, a former sports agent who is now an authority on NFL contracts, recently provided some insight into the potential terms of a Jordan Love extension for the Packers. Green Bay is expected to be discussing a new contract for Love shortly because it appears that they have no intention of playing around:
“After the 2024 Draft in late April, it is anticipated that the Packers and Love’s camp would begin working on a contract extension. It wouldn’t be shocking if Love set his sights higher than Rodgers’ 2022 salary of $50,271,667 (or $150.815 million over three years) in his last contract with the Packers. When the Packers finished 8-9 and missed the playoffs in 2022, Love was more productive the previous season than the four-time NFL MVP, according to Corry.
