On a February 21 episode of Baseball Tonight, Paul Hembekides of ESPN spoke with Buster Olney about the situation involving Snell and the Yankees. Placing himself in the position of general manager Brian Cashman, he made a fictitious proposal to team owner Hal Steinbrenner. Yankees Are Still Seeking to Upgrade Their Roster
The Yankees don’t seem to be finished with their 2024 roster before Opening Day, whether it’s Snell or someone else. Aaron Judge, an outfielder, added gasoline to that fire when he hinted to the media that there might be another change forthcoming.

The judge withheld details about potential developments. But Andy Martino of SNY steps in at this point. On February 20, via X (previously Twitter), he responded to Judge’s remark, saying, “He’s right, Yankees front office still having conversations about adding pitching.”
