BREAKING NEWS : Nfl cap is projected to land somewhere between….
When the scouting combine in Indianapolis begins next week, the NFL wage cap is anticipated to be determined in the coming weeks. Pro Football Talk predicts that the cap will be at least $243 million, but probably closer to $242 million.
For all 32 NFL teams, which are anticipated to carry over any unused salary space from 2023 into the league year that starts on March 13, 2024, a higher cap is preferable.
The New York Giants have $2,501,777 remaining from the 2023 league year, which will be carried over, according to the NFLPA’s annual cap report.
The Giants would have a projected 2024 cap ceiling of $245,501,777 if the cap ends up on the higher end of the spectrum. This would include an estimated $12.629 million in effective space (the space subject to the Top 51 rule, which goes into effect on March 13) and roughly $20.462 million in total room.
These numbers, which are based on information from Over the Cap, naturally predate any roster cuts or contract changes that the Gaitns want to make in the upcoming days in order to make more room.
