After tearing his ACL in early November, the Giants are optimistic that Daniel Jones will be ready to play in Week 1. He has been receiving rehab treatment on a regular basis at the team facilities, and although he isn’t moving very much just yet, he is reportedly progressing well.
Jones is promised $35.5 million in total in 2024; after that, the guarantees are limited to injuries. The Giants would probably need to trade up in order to select one of the top quarterbacks in April because they are ranked sixth in the draft order.

It might also indicate competition between teams for the services of J.J. McCarthy of Michigan, Bo Nix of Oregon, and Michael Penix Jr. of Washington, quarterbacks in the second tier.
The quarterback or quarterbacks that Giants general manager Joe Schoen and head coach Brian Daboll may be in love with are currently unknown. if any. It is known that throughout the 2023 college football season, Schoen personally observed every elite quarterback.
We also know that it is improbable that Williams will jump all the way from No. 6 to No. 1. The No. 1 pick’s owner, the Chicago Bears, are reportedly
It’s unlikely that the Giants will be able to provide that.
However, we do know that Schoen assisted Buffalo Bills general manager Brandon Beane during two trades that saw the Bills move from No. 21 to No. 7 in the 2018 NFL Draft in order to pick quarterback Josh Allen.
For the Bills, that has worked out fairly nicely.
It is currently anticipated that quarterbacks may go 1-2-3 in the draft if the Bears choose not to sell the first overall choice. With the first three picks, the New England Patriots, Washington Commanders, and Bears may all be seeking to start over with rookie quarterbacks.
There has been conjecture that the Patriots, holding the third pick, may be prepared to give up that position if their preferred quarterback chooses to play for Washington or Chicago. The Arizona Cardinals will be in a great position with the fourth pick if a wide receiver like Marvin Harrison Jr. stops the run on quarterbacks. With quarterback Kyler Murray, they might benefit greatly from a draft lottery pick by returning to a team that desperately needs a quarterback.
