“I thought he did a pretty good job with that,” Thorne remarked. “He has performed admirably this year by being steady. He enters, watches the movie with the coaches and myself, and he is present and there, trying his hardest to learn. It’s a good thing he is eager to learn more.”
Against the Commodores, Thorne played every offensive snap for the first time this season as Robby Ashford, the backup, and Geriner did not play. With seven plays that Freeze deemed to be drops, Thorne completed 17 of his 27 passes for 194 yards, two touchdowns, and an interception.
