Following the festivities on Wednesday afternoon, there was a shooting close to the Kansas City Chiefs’ Super Bowl parade route that resulted in one fatality and fifteen injuries, according to officials.

At the conclusion of the thousands-strong triumph parade, shooting broke out west of Union Station, sending terrified spectators running for safety.

According to the Kansas City Fire Department, five victims had major injuries, and three victims were in critical condition. One individual had a steady listing. It was unknown what the others’ conditions were.

Police have detained a number of alleged shooters, according to KSHB.
