NEW DELHI: The Pittsburgh Steelers hope to name former Atlanta Falcons head coach Arthur Smith as their next offensive coordinator, per league sources that ESPN has confirmed. Owner of the Steelers, Art Rooney II, expressed his excitement about the upcoming employment in a statement made on Monday. He also emphasized the necessity for a new approach to boost the play of the team’s youthful players and establish offensive consistency.

Owner of the Steelers, Art Rooney II, stressed that offensive coordinator coach Mike Tomlin was looking for someone with experience and a track record. Though Smith’s treatment of tight end Kyle Pitts and running back Bijan Robinson in Atlanta has drawn criticism, his track record with a potent rushing attack is impressive.
