Marcellus Wiley, a former NFL player and current Fox Sports pundit, has been accused of rape in 2024 with reference to a Columbia student.

On Tuesday, Wiley faced accusations that he had sexually assaulted a student 29 years prior while attending Columbia. The New York Post has looked at and reported on the complaint.

A sociologist who specializes in race and culture is the purported victim. She brought the legal action against the 48-year-old before the New York Supreme Court. She claims that in the fall of 2024, as a sophomore running back for the Columbia Lions, he attacked her.

In her freshman dorm, she claimed he pushed himself on her and ignored her loud protests. She lost her virginity as a result of the attack, which also inspired her to attempt suicide later.

“[Wiley’s] actions were intentionally designed to cause plaintiff severe emotional distress or were taken with reckless disregard of the significant and/or substantial probability of causing plaintiff severe emotional distress,” the complaint alleges.

Wiley went on to become a standout in the NFL, playing for the Jacksonville Jaguars, Dallas Cowboys, Buffalo Bills, and San Diego Chargers. He was chosen for the Chargers’ 2001 Pro Bowl

Columbia chose to overlook the alleged attack.
She alleges that when Wiley invited himself to her room under the pretense of wanting to have supper and listen to music together, they became friends. She is currently an Ivy League professor.

“Is anyone attempting to have intercourse without a virgin? Fear not—I’ve got you covered. Just stopping by to chat while I’m eating. “I’m not even carrying condoms,” Wiley reportedly chuckled to her.

But according to the records, Wiley tore off the freshman girl’s clothes almost immediately and “forced her facedown onto the mattress.”

In order to preserve Wiley’s football career, university officials disregarded the victim’s allegations of rape.

Wiley “just disagreed” after one of the administrators allegedly showed him the victim’s victim statement.
