I never expected to be writing this post in the middle of the second playoff week.
Since everyone was likely hoping for a rematch between the Cowboys and Lions, I really expected to be writing another game preview for that game.
Now that’s out of the question, the Dallas Cowboys will need to make a lot of decisions over the coming months.
Mike McCarthy was brought back, therefore it’s likely that Dak Prescott will make a deal to come back.
Given that McCarthy’s contract is coming to an end this year, it is unlikely that they will replace Prescott as the quarterback in this scheme after just one season.
Their lack of performance in the playoffs is what worries me; they don’t need to win in the regular season

Jerry Jones must move in March, just as he did the previous season, in order to be considered for the NFL draft, which takes place in April.
In March of previous year, they acquired Stephon Gilmore and Brandin Cooks through trades, and they largely contributed.
Cooks has one more year left on his contract, so they can cut him and avoid paying the cap. However, I would welcome him back.

I have many unanswered questions concerning Tony Pollard.
He cannot lead a football team as a three-down back. Jerry Jones should make every effort to bring Derrick Henry in after he bid farewell to the Titans.
I would offer him a two-year contract and tell him up front that the goal of coming to this team is to try to win a Super Bowl during his time here.
I’m not really interested in the NFL draft; I want players who have already had an impact on this league.
