About a month ago, everyone crowned the Eagles as NFC East champions. Philadelphia had somehow weathered a difficult schedule and still had the division lead.

The Cowboys have three consecutive games against playoff clubs. The Eagles faced the Cardinals and two games against the Giants. To quote the late Dennis Green, “They were who we thought they were!”

Cameron Magruder characterized it as fraudulent. And if you’re not following this guy on Twitter/X, are you even a Cowboys fan? His weekly NFC East meetings are entertaining. Last week’s was flawless. These last two seasons, I’ve practically proclaimed that the Eagles were paper tigers.

They had to go through a beat-up Giants team and a 49ers team with a one-armed quarterback to reach the Super Bowl. Where they fumbled away a Lombardi.

The cataclysmic failure should put an end to any further speculation that Philadelphia is an exceptional franchise. Dallas Cowboys (12-5, NFC East Champion)
The Cowboys won their 26th division title with a convincing 38-10 victory over the Commanders.

The Eagles are 34-17, while the Giants and Washington are 19-31-1 during the last three seasons.

The Cowboys’ victory also brought the division’s skid of no repeat champions to 19 years. Between 2001 and 2004, the Eagles won four successive games. The playoffs begin on Sunday with Dallas hosting Green Bay.

The Packers have a 21-17 all-time series lead. The teams have a 4-4 record in eight postseason matches.

Dallas has lost the previous two playoff games against Green Bay, which will not have Aaron Rodgers at quarterback this time. And yes, Dez did catch the ball!.

Philadelphia Eagles (11-6, wildcard, #5 seed)
I’ve been informed that gloating over another person’s misfortune is not appropriate. Too awful. Because I am boasting.

Even when the Cowboys trailed Washington on Sunday, the Eagles simply gave up against the Giants. A squad that quits while still in contention for the division title and the second seed? That is a team that has called it quits for the season. Team turmoil will go south to face Tampa Bay on Monday night. The Bucs are a far superior team than the Giants.
