Although we saw a great victory over the Detroit Lions last week, it lacked inspiration. The run game was uninteresting, and the play-calling was awkward. The good news is that with the Philadelphia Eagles’ loss to the Arizona Cardinals, the NFC East title is still up for grabs. The Washington Commanders are currently the only team standing in the Dallas Cowboys’ way of winning the division. When these two teams last played, the Cowboys defeated the Commanders 45 points ago on Thanksgiving. Dallas would claim the second seed in the playoffs and win the NFC East if they win this game. Thus, how do the two offenses compare? Let’s find out by competing according to position.

The play-calling in the game last week was one problem. For much of the game, this really didn’t help Dak and the offense. It also had an impact on the ground game, which didn’t do anything to help Prescott. Washington’s defense, which gives up the third-worst sack rate and the sixth-highest completion rate over the previous three weeks, will test Dak this week. This week, against a secondary that has allowed the third-most passing yards this year, expect to see a lot of Dak throwing to his wideouts.

With 19, Sam Howell has the most interceptions in the NFL. His amount of interceptions is actually almost equal to his total of touchdowns. Howell’s sack total is one of his major problems. At this point in the season, he has been sacked 61 times, which leads the NFL. Howell’s season has been ruined by all of this; in the previous three games, his completion percentage is only 52%. This is concerning for Howell going into his final game of the season against a Cowboys defense that has given up the fourth-fewest passing touchdowns and the third-lowest completion percentage over the same period of play.
