Hartman Faces Challenges
The most important lesson from this game is that Sam Hartman had a chance to step up with an extended look when Michael Penix dropped out and Bo Nix led the National team to a touchdown. However, he didn’t accomplish that and appeared disorganized all about.
Hartman, though, was unimpressive; on 25 tries, he completed only seven throws for 69 yards. Hartman guided the team to three field goals, but on nearly every drive, he struggled with accuracy or reading the defense, which allowed Louisville’s Jarvis Brownlee to intercept him poorly.
