Breaking News: CELTIC F.C Midfielders Matt O’Riley is being suspended in all sport due to…..

It wasn’t the return to Norwich action Adam Idah had planned as his side were downed 3-0 by Club Brugge – and he was hooked after just half an hour with his side already two goals down.

The striker is being chased for a return to Celtic but Norwich aren’t showing their hand yet. He boarded the plane to Belgium for pre-season, despite Parkhead punters getting excited that he might have been heading to the USA instead to link up with Brendan Rodgers and his team. A £4.5m deal is in the works and it may be a case of ‘when’ rather than ‘if’ – but for now, he’s still a Norwich player.

He was spotted training on Wednesday and was named by boss Johannes Hoff Thorup in the starting XI. But he didn’t last long – in what the Canaries say was a planned change, he was replaced after 33 minutes with Brad Hills taking his spot. Early finish for a flight to Glasgow? Who can say..?

If Idah does get his wish of a return to Glasgow, one man who looks certain to join him is keeper Kasper Schmeichel. The big Dane is in advanced talks over a move and he’s expected to take the No.1 from Joe Hart – literally and figuratively.

Viljami Sinisalo recently signed from Aston Villa and is expected to be Schmeichel’s understudy, and possible long-term replacement. He’s been training in the USA, but pictures from the camp showed him wearing the No.12 on his training gear. If that’s an indication of his squad number, it means the No.1 jersey is still up for grabs – and being kept warm for Schmeichel.

The latest from Denmark is that a move now just hinges on dotting the I’s and crossing the T’s. Tipsbladet say he has passed his medical with just ‘the ink on the contract’ left before it can be formally announced. He’s set to sign a one-year deal with the option of a further season tomorrow – after which he will join up with his new teammates in the USA.
