Pittsburgh In an effort to assemble their roster for the next campaign, the Pittsburgh Steelers have signed five more players to reserve/future contracts. The team have signed 17 players this offseason; this is on top of that. Outside linebacker David Perales, linebacker Tyler Murray, cornerback Josiah Scott, defensive back Kalon Barnes, and defensive back Thomas Graham were all signed, the team stated. Throughout the season, Perales, Murray, Scott, and Barnes were all members of the Steelers practice squad. Eventually, Scott got a contract with the Philadelphia Eagles, with whom he appeared in four games. He had previously played in 29 games, including four starts, for Philadelphia during the 2021–2022 season.

Perales was a member of the Steelers’ summer training squad prior to joining their first roster. Throughout the season, he was waived a few times, but he returned to Pittsburgh in time for their playoff matchup with the Buffalo Bills. In November, Murray had a brief stint with the Steelers practice squad. He attended Memphis to play collegiate football, where in 2022 he started 13 games and totaled 67 tackles, six tackles for a loss, two interceptions, three quarterback hurries, and two passes defended. In the sixth round of the 2021 NFL Draft, Graham was selected by the Chicago Bears. With the Bears, he appeared in four games and recorded four passes defensed in addition to 13 tackles.
