Oklahoma has established one of the most prosperous college football programs in history, boasting seven national titles and an equal number of Heisman Trophy winners. That kind of accomplishment is only attained by exceptional players. Here is a chronological list of the top 25 players in Oklahoma Sooners history.

Jim Weatherall, Offensive Tackle/Punter (1949-51)

The adaptable Weatherall was a productive place-kicker in addition to being a star player on the Sooners’ offensive line. In 1951, Weatherall, an Oklahoma offensive lineman and two-time All-American, was awarded the Outland Trophy, which recognizes the best interior lineman in the country. In his final two seasons, he converted an additional 76 extra points. During his collegiate career, Weatherall played a significant role in Oklahoma’s 31-game winning run and 1950 national championship win. In 1992, he was admitted to the College Football Hall of Fame.
