And the Australian is set to turn 33 years of age in September. In the past, there had also been suggestions that he was considering hanging up his boots, after a disappointing spell in China.

At this stage of his career, Mooy might not be keen on proving himself to a new manager and winning a place in the first-team. He is a signing from the Ange Postecoglou era and with the Australian leaving, to join Tottenham Hotspur, it should not come as a surprise that there is speculation over the midfielder as well.
