LATEST HIGHLIGHT : UNC Football extends four-star contract till 2026
LATEST HIGHLIGHT: A four-star contract extension with UNC Football until 2026.
One of the top prospects in the Class of 2026 has received an offer from Mack Brown and the UNC football program, who always work hard to keep the best in-state players in-state.
Zavion Griffin-Haynes revealed on social media that the Tar Heels had extended an offer to him. Griffin-Haynes, a native of Rolesville, North Carolina, is presently rated as a four-star recruit by 247Sports, as he comes in at No. 8 overall in the state of North Carolina’s Class of 2026 rankings.
Griffin-Haynes has received offers from a number of universities in the last several days, including NC State, Penn State, Miami, Virginia Tech, Tennessee, and West Virginia.
The UNC football program has put an emphasis on recruiting help on the defensive front, as it has now extended offers to 12 players who classify as defensive linemen or edge rushers. Three of the four edge rushers who have received offers from the UNC football program (including Griffin Haynes) reside in North Carolina.
There is plenty of time left in the recruitment process for this respective class, but the Tar Heels are wasting no time trying to convince the state’s top products to stay home and compete at the college level in Chapel Hill.
