Browns’ Myles Garrett Admits Foot Injury Impacted Play vs. Jaguars; Will Miss Six Weeks, Says Coach Kevin Stefanski.

Cleveland Browns star defensive end Myles Garrett revealed that a foot injury significantly impacted his performance during the team’s recent game against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Garrett, a pivotal player on the Browns’ defense, appeared visibly hindered during the game, managing only limited involvement in key plays.

Garrett acknowledged the injury in a post-game interview, admitting that it affected his speed and ability to get off the line quickly.

“I wasn’t myself out there. It was frustrating, but I tried to push through it for my teammates,” Garrett stated. Despite his determination, the injury was evident in his play, as his usual explosiveness was missing.

Head coach Kevin Stefanski later confirmed that Garrett would be sidelined for six weeks to recover from the foot injury. “After evaluating him further, it’s clear that Myles needs time to heal properly. We don’t want to rush him back and risk further injury,” Stefanski said in a press conference.

The Browns will feel Garrett’s absence deeply, as he is a key figure in their defense. Garrett, a three-time Pro Bowler and former No. 1 overall pick, has been instrumental in the team’s success this season, already registering multiple sacks and game-changing plays. The six-week absence will likely cover a critical stretch of the season, impacting the Browns’ playoff push.

In Garrett’s absence, the team will look to players like Za’Darius Smith and Ogbo Okoronkwo to step up and fill the void on the defensive line. While the Browns remain optimistic about Garrett’s return, they are also preparing for the challenges ahead without their defensive anchor.

The Browns’ next matchup will be against the Baltimore Ravens, and with Garrett out, the team will face a tough test as they try to maintain momentum in the competitive AFC North.
