Final Speech by Ronnie O’Sullivan:
“Good evening, everyone. I’m standing here today with a feeling of immense pride and gratitude, and I can’t thank you all enough for the incredible journey we’ve shared. Today marks a significant milestone in my career, as I’ve signed a new contract with my team, and I’m both humbled and excited for what lies ahead.
This isn’t just a contract. It’s a statement of trust. It’s a reflection of the belief that my team, my sponsors, and everyone who has been a part of my journey have in me. And that’s something that I don’t take lightly. I know how lucky I am to be able to do what I love for a living, and I’ll never take that for granted.
When I look back on my career—on all the tournaments, the highs, and the lows—it’s hard not to feel a bit emotional. The sport of snooker has given me everything: the chance to prove myself, to inspire others, and to leave my mark on the game. But it hasn’t been easy. Like any athlete, I’ve had my fair share of challenges, doubts, and frustrations. But through it all, I’ve always believed in the power of hard work, focus, and passion.
One of the things that has kept me going, year after year, is the love I have for the game. Snooker is more than just a sport to me—it’s a part of who I am. Every time I step up to that table, I’m reminded of the journey I’ve taken, of the incredible people I’ve met along the way, and of the fans who have supported me through thick and thin. Without you, none of this would be possible.
This new contract is an opportunity to continue building on everything we’ve achieved so far. It’s not just about titles or records; it’s about pushing myself further, embracing the challenges, and continuing to evolve as a player. I want to keep setting the bar higher and inspire the next generation of players who are dreaming of following in my footsteps.
I’m grateful to my family, my team, my sponsors, and of course, my fans. Your support means the world to me, and I can’t wait to get back out there and give you something to cheer about. There’s still so much more to come, and I’m not finished yet. Let’s go make some more history together.
Thank you all, and I’m looking forward to what’s next!”
